Security Services

The security of everyone at the Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport (YQM) is the top priority for our management and staff.

YQM’s security services operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week to support a safe and secure airport environment. The team also supports the enforcement of parking and traffic regulations on airport property.

Emergency Response Services

YQM has trained emergency response personnel on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The team provides aircraft rescue and firefighting services, as well as emergency response support for aircraft-related and environmental incidents.

Drone Safety

Flying a drone near an airport can create serious safety risks for aircraft and passengers. Before operating a drone near YQM, please review Transport Canada’s drone safety rules and use NAV CANADA’s Drone tools to confirm where and when you can fly safely.

Operating Cranes Near YQM

Cranes and other tall equipment near YQM may require review to ensure they do not impact protected airspace or aircraft operations. Contractors and property owners should contact the airport before crane work begins to confirm any applicable requirements. Wildlife Management

Wildlife near airport operations can create safety risks for aircraft. YQM has a Wildlife Management Plan in place to help identify hazards and reduce the risk of wildlife-related incidents.

Our team monitors wildlife activity throughout the year and takes appropriate measures to help keep birds and other wildlife away from runways and operational areas. These activities may vary depending on the season, species and situation.

To help reduce wildlife attractants on airport property, feeding birds or other wildlife is prohibited. Please help us maintain a safe airport environment by not feeding wildlife and by placing all food waste in the appropriate receptacles.
