YQM unveils winter sun schedule with nine weekly departures
Greater Moncton, October 5, 2026 – YQM’s winter sun season will get an early start this year, with Air Transat service beginning in December and Sunwing Vacations following in January, one month earlier than its traditional February start.
Travellers will have more opportunities to escape the winter with direct service from YQM to Cancún, Mexico; Punta Cana and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; and Montego Bay, Jamaica, with service offered by Air Transat and Sunwing Vacations.
Air Transat will begin its winter sun service on December 17, with two weekly departures: Cancún on Thursdays and Punta Cana on Fridays.
Sunwing Vacations will begin its seasonal service earlier this winter, with flights starting January 8. In January, weekly service will be offered to Cancún, Punta Cana, Puerto Plata and Montego Bay. Beginning February 3, service to Cancún, Punta Cana and Puerto Plata will increase to twice weekly, while Montego Bay will continue once weekly.
Together, the schedule provides travellers across New Brunswick and the surrounding region with convenient non-stop access to some of the most popular winter vacation destinations, with the opportunity to fly somewhere sunny from YQM every day of the week.
